At Aramco India, sustainability is built into the way we work. It shapes how we manage resources, reduce impact, and contribute to the communities around us.
We align with Aramco’s ambition to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions across wholly owned operated assets by 2050.
In India, our sustainability work focuses on three areas: restoring natural environments, advancing community health and education, and supporting national relief efforts.
Our work starts with what matters on the ground. Each project is chosen based on need, shaped through local partnerships, and designed to deliver steady, long-term value. We stay close to the details—listening, adapting, and focusing on outcomes that last.
As India’s energy needs grow, so does the need for thoughtful, responsible action. Our role is to contribute where we can make a real difference—whether that’s restoring green spaces, improving public health infrastructure, or supporting communities through crisis.
Enabling People
As part of our “Livelihood through Assistive Aids” initiative, Aramco India provided 65 personalized Neo Motion assistive devices to persons with disabilities. These motorized wheelchair attachments are designed for greater mobility, enabling users to navigate daily life with independence and dignity.
Protecting Ecosystems
Our focus is on practical, community-led efforts that protect native ecosystems and restore balance over time. In rural Maharashtra, we partnered with SayTrees to plant over 24,000 native saplings across three villages. More than 50 species were selected to suit the local ecology, with strong community participation and a long-term care plan in place.
Energizing Community & Society
We support inclusive development by focusing on what communities need most—clean water, renewable energy, sanitation, and education. Through our partnerships, we’ve enabled solar-powered irrigation for 200 farming families, supported the construction of 257 sanitation units and school facilities, and backed efforts to strengthen public health and dignity.
Disaster Relief
During the COVID-19 crisis, we focused on strengthening essential services through timely, needs-based action. We helped install oxygen generation plants at rural health centers to ensure a reliable supply of life-saving medical oxygen. At the same time, we distributed over 10,000 grocery kits and 1,200 ready-to-eat meals to support daily-wage earners and vulnerable communities impacted by lockdowns.
