Aramco distributed Neo Motion Assistive Devices in India

Aramco has provided 65 personalized motorized wheelchairs — Neo Motion assistive devices — to persons with disabilities (PWDs), in partnership with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled. 

The devices were presented at distribution ceremonies in the Indian cities of Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune. The effort is a part of Aramco’s citizenship initiative known as “Livelihood through Assistive Aids.” 

The Neo Motion devices combine technology and innovation, forming motorized add-ons for wheelchairs to help PWDs move around more independently. The devices were provided following clinical assessments.

For Aramco, this initiative is testament to our commitment to enhancing our community, committing to inclusion, and embracing diversity. These devices will help the beneficiaries connect with the outside world and provide them with better opportunities to enhance their livelihood.

Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled founder and chairman, said, “Skilling individuals with disabilities is essential for fostering true independence and empowerment. Our collaboration with Aramco not only provides assistive devices, such as the Neo Motion, but also equips individuals with the skills necessary to thrive in their personal and professional lives. Through the 'Livelihood through Assistive Aids' project, we are creating a more inclusive society that unlocks potential and transforms lives.

Extending his support to the initiative, Ashraf Alfagih, Aramco Asia vice president of Public Affairs, also distributed devices and met with the beneficiaries during a ceremony in Delhi.
