Aramco partnered with Ambuja Foundation on the citizenship project “Empowering Women - Through the entrepreneurial skill of tailoring”. As part of this project, a dedicated Common Facility Center (CFC) was established to provide 200 women with a professional, shared workspace equipped with industry-grade machinery, materials, and expert guidance to strengthen their industry capabilities.
This initiative is empowering women from traditional community backgrounds, helping them enhance their livelihood, build confidence, and take meaningful steps towards financial independence. At this center, women are actively engaged in stitching and small-scale production activities and gaining hands-on experience in a real-work environment.
As a result of the project’s capacity building approach, all 200 women have completed basic training and additionally 100 women received advanced training in specialized techniques, pattern making, fashion trends, etc. Throughout the training, industry experts have supported the participants, helping them align their capabilities with current market standards. Additionally, as part of the project, a 7.5 kVA solar panel has been installed at the CFC, fully meeting its energy needs and supported by a battery system for backup and efficient power management.
