Supporting Mobility and Independence with NeoMotion Devices

Aramco partnered in the distribution of NeoMotion assistive mobility devices across five Indian states, helping expand access to functional, engineered mobility solutions. Designed by engineers at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, these devices are customized to each user’s physical profile and environment, combining ergonomics with adaptable motorized capability.

The initiative focused on practical outcomes: reaching individuals for whom conventional wheelchairs are often unsuitable, especially in uneven terrain or dense urban settings. On-site fitting ensured each unit met daily use requirements, emphasizing utility, precision, and long-term value.

Aramco’s involvement centered on enabling scalable solutions, not one-time aid, but a shift in how assistive technology reaches those who need it. By backing a locally developed, technically sound system, the program supported greater mobility, enhanced self-reliance, and improved access to work, education, and public life.
